Steps to Create an Email Address in DirectAdmin
Step 1: Access Your DirectAdmin Account
To start editing DNS in DirectAdmin, first, log into your DirectAdmin control panel.
Typically, you access this via a browser using your domain followed by :2222 (e.g., yourdomain.com:2222). Use the credentials provided by your web hosting provider to log in.

Step 2: Navigate to the ‘E-Mail Accounts’ Section
Once logged in, direct your attention to the “E-Mail Accounts” section. This area is your gateway to managing existing accounts and creating new ones. Due to DirectAdmin’s intuitive design, you will find navigating to this section a breeze.
You will notice one e-mail account already exists: username@example.com (where “username” is the control panel sign in name). This account is permanent and cannot be deleted.
Step 3: Create a New Email Account
Click the “Create Account” button. Here, you’ll set up your new email address. Choose a suitable username and set a strong password. A complex password will enhance security. DirectAdmin offers features like auto-generating strong passwords, saving time and effort.

Step 4: Customize Settings
Choose your username, click the icon to the left of the password field to randomly choose a secure password. Click on ‘Max’ to have unlimited space (within your account disk space). Or you can limit disk space for individual email accounts.

Step 5: Save Settings
Finally, click on ‘Create Account’ button again.
After creating a new email address, a popup box will appear with the configuration info you’ll need to configure your email program.
